Michael, Hi.....

I presume you are relating to the regular Benhaim series and not to their Reserve wines. Note that both of the following tasting notes were made quite some while ago, which puts both well past their peak at this point in time.

Best
Rogov

Benhaim, Cabernet Sauvignon, 2002: A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon rounded out by the addition of Merlot and Petite Sirah. Medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins and generous spicy oak matched by wild berry, cassis and on the moderate finish a hint of minty-chocolate. Drink up. Score 85. K (Re-tasted 15 Jun 2007

Benhaim, Merlot, 2002: Dark royal purple in color, medium-bodied, with soft tannins integrating nicely, this blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah that was oak-aged for 14 months is soft and round, with aromas and flavors of currants, purple plums and wild berries. Somewhat one-dimensional. Drink up. Score 85. K (Re-tasted 9 Nov 2006)

A fine example of the logic behind: "Caveat Emptor"
