Stong nose of gycerine or oxidation or something. Not off-putting. Great mouthfeel. Nice acidity. Fruit was peach with melon. Slight taste of oxidation to me, but it didn't interfere with the pleasure. Complex flavors that kept us interested as we polished off the bottle with a sauteed fish, pico de gallo and black bean lunch. We were shocked by the alchohol at 15.8 %, but it was not evident on the palate. Super balance. We did have to take a nap after lunch, which lasted a couple of hours, though. We love the way Mat does Roussanne and Marsanne. (89 pts.)
