Eric, Hi.....
Following are my tasting notes for the wines in question.
Best
Rogov
Bruno Giacosa, Barolo, Faletto, 2003: My earlier tasting note holds firmly. Medium- to full-bodied with softly caressing tannins. Opens to reveal plums and cherries on a vanilla and floral background. Long and mouthfilling. Best from 2011. Score 91. Re-tasted 16 May 2008)
Bruno Giacosa, Barbaresco, Asili, 2003: Dark garnet, medium- to full-bodied, with gripping tannins needing time to settle in. Opens to show red fruits on an earthy mineral background. Neither complex nor long. At its best with food. Drink now-2011. Score 87. (Tasted 16 May 2008)
