Tormaresca Bocca di Lupo 2002
I think this wine is a great buy - especially at $20.
I love that it is unfiltered. It provides a lush, full flavor that modern wines have trouble matching. As time passes, chocolate and coffee flavors emerge giving it an almost sweet taste. Aromas are of cherry and oak. It can sometimes be a bit too oaky without food, but I would buy it again anytime when I deplete the 6 bottles I already have.
If you've ever heard about a wine with coffee and chocolate flavors, but never know what that means, try a bottle of this.
On my rating scale it is between an A and an A-. An "A" means it is a great wine with greatly desirable character. The minus means it is just a little rough in a few places, but still very good - especially at this price.

International Wine Cellar Deep, almost opaque ruby-red. Refined aromas of blueberry and blackberry jam, with hints of dark tobacco, coffee and spicy, balsamic oak. Offers good grip on entry, then real power in a velvety package. Coats the palate with lush, sweet fruit flavors. Finishes clean, complex and long, with sweet but assertive tannins and remarkable freshness. Probably the best aglianico made outside of Basilicata and Campania.
