California.

I don't think it say much about a wine when the majority of the back label is devoting to explaining the virtues of the screwcap which seals the wine, rather than to the wine itself.

Very simple. Creamy in the mouth, some cocoa, cherry fruit, rather sweet, spicy, with red licorice.

Chocolate on the finish.

Okay for BBQ burgers or when friends drop by.

Exactly what to expect when a California producer chooses to call it's wine 'shiraz' instead of syrah. And at the Yellow Tail level, to boot. Beware in the future!

I've had a Viognier from that producer that I thought was a very nice wine with opulent fruit and all, but the Shiraz doesn't sound like I'd like it at all. Sweet creamy cocoa sure as heck isn't what I want from that grape. Peppery bacon and barnyard is what I love, and I'm apt to want Syrah-type iterations over "Shiraz" anyhow.
