Thank goodness there's somebody who keeps track of all this stuff!

McCormick, the spice and food company, announced "The mouth-watering Top 10 flavor pairings of 2007" recently.

Apparently the folks at McCormick research, along with "some of America's top chefs, television personalities, and cookbook authors", forecasted some of the flavor pairings that will dominate the trends in 2007.

What are they?

Clove and Green Apple

Thyme and Tangerine

Tellicherry Black Pepper and Berry

Sea Salt and Smoked Tea

Lavender and Honey

Crystallized Ginger and Salted Pistachio

Cumin and Apricot

Toasted Mustard and Fennel Seeds

Wasabi and Maple

Caramelized Garlic and Riesling Vinegar

[I'm not too sure about the wasabi and maple thing, but then again, I've had stranger combos that tasted good.]

At our altitude, it's very interesting to open a jar of marshmallow fluff. It grows so much, you can't get the lid back on.

It does expand, doesn't it. Maybe that's why I always feel more full eating a peanut butter & marshmallow sandwich than a PB&J.
