Has anyone ever used Lobel's for dry-aged beef and hams?

Yes on all accounts.

We have moved to local, grass fed producers, Randy, but Lobel's are a very reliable house. We stop by their Madison Avenue shop from time to time, and order by mail in "emergencies".

Surprisingly, we thought their meatballs were world class! And the steak is accurately described.

Thanks, Bob. I think I'll order both their ham and whole tenderloin for the holidays. Our local meats are, how do you say politely, less than optimal.

We haven't tried their ham, Randy -- love to hear what you think of it.

We liked the tenderloins in the past.

I can't testify to customer service - we haven't tried 'em online. But Lobel's has an excellent reputation as a meat retailer in NYC, and their Website is particularly useful, not just commerce but content including an excellent FAQ on Storing and preparing meat. All this would inspire me to considerable confidence in dealing with them.

On the other hand, they've licensed eRobertParker.com to provide their wine-pairing suggestions ... ;)

Wouldn't hesitate to order from them. I know many knowledgeable foodie types who have mail-ordered beef from Lobel's and every single one sings their praises.

Never mail-ordered, but best steaks I've had were from Lobel's store, and never heard anything but good re the mailorder.
