When I read this on the sign outside our local Fire Station yesterday, which posts something clever whenever there's no community announcement to be made: "I'D LIKE TO GROW MY OWN FOOD, ONLY I CAN'T FIND BACON SEEDS".

But have you tried grafting bacon on rootstocks?

Old British radio comedy joke: I started an egg farm and I have 100 battery hens. But they're not laying. I don't understand it--I put fresh batteries in them last week.
