1 large Roast of beef
1 small Roast of beef

Take the two roasts and put them in the oven. When the little one burns, the big one is done.

We got about a foot and a half in my neighborhood. Not a big deal at all in a place like Denver, but we're not equipped for it nor for sustained cold weather. Out where I live we have no plows, no snow tires, no studs, no sand. The roads are covered in 10 inches of very uneven ice, and what isn't is a dangerous pothole. Fed Ex isn't delivering, and many businesses have told all but essential personnel to stay home.

As for the forecast: it's 21 degrees and from my desk I can see that it's snowing on Orcas Island. I'll get it within the hour.

Sounds desolately beautiful. I'm at work so I'm looking at computer screens. *sigh*

What are you going to cook to celebrate your view today? Pot Roast?

(We are experiencing freakishly warm temps - 65 F today - here in Chicagoland. Tomorrow it's supposed to be more normal - gray and 30's)

How are the kitties taking all of this, Jenise? They must be quite put out.

My kitty gets upset with the rain, cold weather, and wet fur.

Karen, my kids are indoor types and they're loving this. I've been putting out seed for the birds and bunnies who feed just inches away from the cats on the other side of the glass. The cats can't believe their good fortune.
