I saw another story on that today. It's an interesting idea for those stuck in a tiny space capsule for years on end, but it's hard to see it catching on here. So many great flavor components are too volatile to be stored as powders, so it's hard to believe you'd get something as good as real food out of a 3-D printer.

I guess if it's that or starvation, though.....

I have read that hardtack from the Civil War is still good today (...recognizing that army food covers a different range of values for "good" than we are accustomed to).
