And we can't forget "Java" by Al Hirt (Billboard #4 in 1964) or Herb Alpert's decadent "Whipped Cream" (#68 in 1965). Both instrumentals, interestingly enough.

Whipped Cream was literally the first album I ever owned! A gift from my parents along with my very own turnable-amp-speakers kinda thing, Magnavox I think. I'm a bit of a music fanatic. In a past life I was a hippie rock 'n roll drummer. Now it's a uke! Love the old standards.

Obliquely food-related. Call it dinner music.

It is in fact the only song I can sing really well. I did it at party once when a friend shaved my head at the same time; nobody present has forgotten it!

It's more of a narrative (ala "Alice's Restaurant") than a song, but there's "No Anchovies, Please" by the J. Geils Band.
