Anyone have experience with Marx Foods? http://www.marxfoods.com/
They seem to have a nice selection of exotic meats at fair pricing.

Never heard of them! But now that I see there's a store in Seattle, I'll definitely make a point of stopping in. The poultry page had me salivating (guinea fowl!). Thanks.

Interesting stuff there, although the mushrooms seem awfully expensive.

This is, however, the first I've heard of Szechuan Buzz Buttons. I'm going to have to try those!

OK, a story I have to tell. When we visited Trier, I noticed that the big department store in the center of town had MARX over the door. I looked things up and realized that 1) Karl Marx was from Trier and 2) his wealthy family had a store there. So he had some first hand experience with capitalism.

It was a really nice store but I don't think they had any foods, it was mostly clothing etc.

Trier was a fascinating place to visit, they were celebrating a birthday for Emperor Constantine, who was born there, and for whom Constantinople was named. All three of the main museums in town had extensive exhibits about Constantine.

FWIW Trevirensis = Trier was an important Roman town as was Köln, Cologne. MANY Roman ruins.

A friend of mine had one in a cocktail at the Cosmopolitan in Vegas--a fabulous experience, he said.
