Leftover steak is usually an oxymoron around me, but what's the best way to warm yesterday's steak?

Don't.

Slice thinly as possible and make into yummy sandwich!

I have found that wrapping tightly in foil, and warming in the oven at like 300 or 325 does pretty well. Not too hot to cook again (unless you leave it for too long), but enough to warm quick enough to keep from drying out.

Warm up in a skillet with butter - not hot, like you're pan frying, but low heat, like cooking an egg.

Agree, don't

I make steak for the COLD leftovers ! I much prefer this cut cold.

Thinly sliced on a bed of arugula dressed with capers, EVOO, lemon juice.

Thinly sliced, spread with fresh horseradish [ speaking of which- the roots are now being dug for a new batch ] , mayo in a sandwhich.

Thinly sliced with any other vegetable, lots of cilantro wrapped in a
rice spring roll with an asian dipping sauce.

Warmed as per Howie for breakfast steak and eggs

With other cold meats-turkey, pork, chicken for a chefs salad.

Etc.........

Leftover steak in this house usually goes directly into the freezer and is tossed into the next gravy (red sauce).

Leftover steak in our house usually goes into my teenaged son's mouth somewhere between the dinner table and the 'fridge.

Same here. That's why I called leftover steak an oxymoron. Usually I'm a black hole when it comes to steak. The only reason I didn't eat it all is because I can't tell if I'm hungry or not. One of my blood pressure pill doses was recently doubled, which has made me queasy, tired, and spacey. So I'm simultaneously feeling hungry and don't really want to eat. Weird.
