But you clearly have a chef's instinct, Stuart. It's a joy to read your recipes -- you come up with all kinds of interesting combinations of ingredients and flavors.

I can replicate your ideas with great success -- but I can't remember ever putting together a dish out of my own imagination that tasted very good.

Believe me, I agree about the hard work involved in cooking for many people -- I did a great deal of almost every level of that doing part time jobs in college: dishwasher, trucker, waiter, head waiter, pizza cook, catering service -- exhausting labor, that's for sure.
