Soft, cold, no-need-to-bite, salty RCPs please?

I had a rather complicated wisdom teeth removal today due to which I'm not allowed to eat any warm, solid food for 2-3 days. I've made a few berry pastes / porridges that I'm enjoying but I need something salty also. Do you have genuinely tasty (I'd like to enjoy my convalescence!) salty foods that are eaten cold (or room temp) and which you don't need to bite? If so, please post RCPs. ASAP, if I may be so rude to ask for speed, because I'm getting dashed hungry and am tired of berries. Also no milk products may be used because I can't deal with lactose.

Oh, poor Otto! I hope you recover soon.

Meanwhile, how about some tapenade? Basically just a thick puree of black olives and garlic.

Here's a recipe from About.com, a site I don't generally find impressive (too spammish), but this looks about right. You could leave out anything you don't want, and I would just mash an anchovy or two rather than using paste.

INGREDIENTS:

* 20 pitted Kalamata olives, coarsely chopped
* 1 Tbsp rinsed, drained, and chopped capers
* 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
* 2 tsp olive oil
* 1/2 tsp anchovy paste (optional)
* Fresh cracked black pepper

PREPARATION:
Combine Kalamata olives, capers, lemon juice, olive oil, anchovy paste, and pepper.

How about something along the lines of baba ganouj? I don't have a recipe handy, but you basically roast an eggplant, scoop out the pulp and blend it with tahini, olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, and whatever spices you want to throw in. It's traditionally eaten on pita bread, but you could spread it on something softer.

Back when I had my wisdom teeth out, I subsisted on nothing but milk shakes for a few days. Very yummy, but I was 19 at the time....

How about egg salad, drained yogurt with crushed garlic and grated cucumbers, or very soft, spoonable fresh cheeses like cottage cheese? I'm not sure what your equivalent is... but you are!

How about a rice pilaf? Saute some onion, season with a minced or sliced garlic clove and a few pinches of dried thyme and basil, then add a cup and a half of chicken broth and a cup of rinsed rice. Bring to a boil, reduce, cook on LO for 15 minutes, then remove from heat and allow to sit another ten minutes. I usually make my rice drier, 1:1, but you need this softer than the low liquid ratio.

Or how about a green pea mousse? Cook some frozen peas, reserve a little of the cooking water, mash, then add some of the cooking water back until you have a pleasing consistency. Season with butter, or give it a Middle Eastern twist by topping the peas with a little chopped fresh or dried mint and a drizzle of olive oil.

Yep, that's it, and it's just as tasty if blended prior to eating as opposed to chunky.

There's a famous NY (I think) brand--it's sold here in FL, of course...but when I had some major dental work done in .....Feb? March? I ate a whole container over the course of two days...nothing tasted--or felt-so good.
