Did not catch the aroma of it. I should have asked for a taste. A friend and I were wondering if it was made from the real fruit, or a powder, or whatever. I think it's very difficult to ship durian. Most airlines won't allow it on their planes. It's not allowed in many hotels or other public places. I have to believe it was toned down to some degree. But in Chinatown, who knows? Next trip I'll try it and report.
