Good Kosher butcher in NYC?

Does anyone know of a Kosher butcher in the NYC area, where I can buy dry meats from? I would like to make a plate of dry salami with chunks of dried pastrami. Thanks!

Not sure about dried meats but the Park east butcher (not the now defunct eatery) has very high quality meats (the 2 inch rib-eye steaks are amazing).

What about some of the Jewish, Italian or Russian delicatessens in Brooklyn? Might they not have the meats for which you are hunting?

Dried salami can be had in many grocery stores that have their own deli counters. I'm not sure why you would want dried pastrami, and I don't know of any stores that dry their pastrami. Pomegranate on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn does dry-age meat, and they do hang up and dry salamis. Glatt Mart, on Avenue M and East 12th Street, makes several different salamis in their own kitchens, which can be bought and home-dried as well.

By the way - I have dined at Le Marais on three occasions. One of the growing number of kosher restaurants (and in this case glatt kosher as well) that does a truly fine job. Certainly earns my recommendation.

I have one more quick trip to the USA planned in order to finalize the list. The list and reviews will be officially released on 1 September, just a week before Rosh HaShannah. I am in Teaneck, NJ. I do most of my eating in NYC. For whats its worth, my got to places are les marias and Abigails. I would be interested in hearing from other forum members. Keep in mind I only eat Kosher.
