Winner's restaurant awards

Postby Trevor F » Sun Nov 22, 2009 6:04 pm

Looking through today's Sunday Times over breakfast at Plumber Manor I read about the following restaurant awards by Michael Winner in his post-movie director role as a restaurant critic. They are his own awards for both best and worst restaurants. I agree with his assessment of the French Horn at Sonning. It is a magical place with the French cuisine and Spanish maitre d'. The midweek lunch at 17 pounds or whatever is the bargain of the century.

According to Winner the best place is Harry's Bar in venice.

Worst awards go the Cliff in Barbados, the Athaeneum in London the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London.
