Frika

Frika is green wheat that has been smoked, and is a common ingredient in Arabic cooking. Anyone know where (in Israel) I can find it?

Finding frika should not be difficult. In Tel Aviv best bet is to wander on Levinsky St; in Jerusalem in the Mahane Yehuda shuk; in Akko in the shuk of the Old City; in Beer Sheva in the Bedouin part of the shuk; and in Haifa at any of the grain and seed shops near the port.

I have not been able to find frika in Shuk Levinsky, but that was about a year ago, so maybe now they have it there...I have found it in all the market places of all Galilean arab villages.I love frika!!!
