Thanks for sharing this. It's most encouraging reading.

This particular case doesn't really have any 21st ammendment implications--it deals entirely with what happens to beer and wine once they get into Washington state and doesn't at all change the rules and regulations for how they get there. But a national distributor such as Costco may be just what's needed to crack this issue open. They may have deep enough pockets to buy the necessary politicians to get restrictive distribution systems repealed on a state-by-state basis.

I don't think any of the cases at the Supreme Court directly relate to the 21st Amendment--yet. But after shooting down state mandates one-by-one it is likely to finally dawn on the Supremes that the Commerce Clause should trump that part of the 21st that gave states the right to monopolize commerce, even if they still believe thta alcohol is a "special" case, as Kennedy said in the ruling last May--was it really a year ago? What's that about time speeding up in relation to age???
