Thinking about drinking this now? Stop! At least give it a long decant. I opened this bottle yesterday. The first sip was thin and uninteresting. By dinner it started to seem like Nebbiolo. I corked up 1/2, and brought it back out tonight. Huge difference! It’s a complete wine now with floral, red fruit, and forest notes from dried leaves to pine sap. Still fairly tannic on the back end, this will give more pleasure in five or ten years.
