We tried these three last week at Pig+Fig:
1. Carlisle Zin DryCreekVlly/SonomaCnty (15.0%; 93% OV Zin + 7% PetiteSirah; 335 cs) 2021: Med.dark color; fairly bright raspberry/DCVlly7 Zin/lightly spicy light toasty/oak quite attractive nose; lightly tart bright DCV Zin/raspberry bit dusty/OV light toasty/oak flavor w/ modest tannins; long bright raspberry finish that mimics flavor; a very attractive classic DCV Zin at a very good price; will benefit from a few yrs of age. $32.50

2. Carlisle TwoAcres RRV/SonomaCnty RW (14.2%; Plntd: 1910; Mourvedre/Syrah/PetiteSirah/Carignan/Peloursin/AlicanteBouschet; 135 cs) 2021: Dark color; fairly strong plummy/licorice/Mourv/blackberry quite dusty/OV light smokey/oak bit old-timey/Ravenswood-like nose; bit soft strong plummy/Mourv/licorice/blackberry quite dusty/OV some complex/interesting flavor w/ modest chewey tannins; very long/lingering finish that mirrors flavor; a quite interesting red that speaks of Mourv; can use another 2-6 yrs. $39.50

3. Carlisle AlicanteBouschet PaganiRanch/SonomaVlly/SonomaCnty (13.9%; Plntd: 1920; 155 cs) 2021: Very dark/near black color; intense boysenberry/ripe/blackberry/plummy/AB rather earthy/bit loamy/rustic fairly dusty/OV some toasty/oak some rustic nose; bit soft strong AB/plummy/boysenberry/blackberry/ripe some toasty/oak rather rough/rugged/rustic some earthy/loamy flavor w/ ample rough tannins; very long ripe/boysenberry finish that mirrors flavor; a somewhat rough/rugged red that needs some age; finesse is not its thing. $38.50

More bootysnatch from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. I have always liked Mike's Twackers. When he was doing software down in TheCity, he would frequently pass by this old/abandoned vnyd. Finally, curiosity got the best of him & he approched the owner about taking care of/resurecting the vnyd in exchange for some of the wine. So Twackers was what launched Mike's winemaking career and sparked his interest in old-vine vnyds. I particularly like it because it's noticibly different from his Zins.

2. I've always also liked Mike's rendition of Alicante. It shows a lot of fruit for an AB. I don't think, given its black color, that it ages particularly well and always continues a bit on the oafish side, a bit like PS.
