WTN: Liberal Bias

Last night with a steak salad:

2002 Château Haut-Bages Libéral Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend
Needed a 30 minute decant to knit together. Good dark purple-black color with nicely dense red and black fruit, tobacco and a little sawdust, evolved and leathery but not yet mature, velveteen tannins. A very good wine for the vintage; better in fact than a Lafite we opened not long ago and drinks more like 10-15 than 20+.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov

You remind me that I need to dig out some 2002s this winter.

Probably about time! I don't have many 02's. Bought a whole case of Montrose, and own a few others like the Lafite I mentioned and this. I didn't seek out the vintage but snapped at a few things that fell my way--I'd gone heavy on 01's which I had more belief in.
Btw, just edited my note to include the observation that this HBL drinks more like 10-15 than 20+.

I just looked, and I have about 30 bottles of 2002 red Bordeaux. Better get drinking.
