WTN: Ojai Estate Rose '22...(short/boring)

by TomHill » Thu Oct 26, 2023 11:06 am

Tried this new Ojai last night:
1. Ojai Estate Rose Ventura Cnty(13.0%; 100% Paseante Noir; 3 brls) 2022: Very pale salmon/copper color; somewhat fragrant bit herbal/Cab-like/musky slight floral bit earthy some Provence-like interesting nose; quite tart/tangy/slight metallic lightly floral/grapey somewhat herbal/musky/earthy bit rough/coarse flavor w/ slight tannic bite; med.long musky/herbal bit coarse finish that reflects flavor; a somewhat interesting/unusual rose that resembles some a herbal White Cab, a bit Languedoc Rose; interesting but not particularly attractive; a bit on the coarse side. $21.62

More ziddlefrick from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This is another one of Adam's new Estate wines made from new varieties that are resistant to Pierce's Disease. Paseante Noir is 97% Vinifera & made up of 50% Zin/25% PetiteSirah/12.5% CabSauv. Don't complain to me about the %'s, that's what the FPS Site indicates.

Is Adam having notable issues with Pierce's Disease in his local vineyards?
