We had the family over to our place for Easter Sunday dinner and opened a few bottles. The first two wines were consumed before the meal, eating cheese and enjoying the sunshine on the deck. The third was enjoyed with a turkey dinner.

Domaine des Salices Viognier 2004: Vin De Pays D'oc, Jacques and Francois Lurton.
Rich citrus nose.
Somewhat oily, tangy acidity, very floral and perfumed, lemon-lime fruit, with grapefruit rind bitterness on the finish. Spice and tangy grapefruit on the finish. A very rich wine on a rather light and delicate structure.
Screwcap closure.
Very good QPR at $12.95 Canadian.

Weingut Forstmeister Geltz Zilliken Riesling 2002: MSR. AP Nr. 35510831103.
Strong petrol on the nose. Surprisingly, my brother couldn't detect any petrol at all.
Rather sweet, with some light green apples and peach, brown sugar, spicy, thick and rich. Would have benefitted from more acidity. Pleasant but rather simple.

Thorn-Clarke Terra Barossa 2003 Shiraz: No notes taken, but I recall a very deep and dark wine, with tar and rich dark fruit, Matched very well with the turkey, stuffing and gravy.
