Drinking wine with me is like conversing with Hawking; we need to start you with Sling Blade drinkers like Roscoe or Hoke and go from there.

Keep in mind that I was enjoying Rioja Reservas before you were born.

I guess I now have a good taste (no pun intended) for what I just got myself into (by joining this forum).

As the Cheshire Cat said to Alice, "you must be mad, or you wouldn't be here."

You must have good wine taste, or you wouldn't be here. :D

I took Joe to the Wine and Cheese Cask, Martignettis, and Marty's today.

Picked out Clos Roche Blanche, Clos de Briords, Cuvee Granit, Tres Picos, Sandrone Dolcetto, Ock Bock St. Urbans Hoff, and a bumch of other random stuff to get him started.

Drank some '03 Rocks and Gravel afterwards.

He'll be busy for a while.

Well done Joe. Another promising young life snuffed out on wine! At least it's still a legal drug.
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?

We also introduced him to Whole Foods and L'Explorateur cheese. He's in trouble.

No, we got it at Wine and Cheese Cask while we were filling a case, but it was cheaper at Marty's.

It's true... another one bites the dust.

Right now I am taking a day off from wine. I have had it 5 days in a row, I think I am getting burned out. Joe didn't tell me to drink the wine with somebody else, so I have been polishing off a bottle a night. (kidding).

The wine shops were good fun. I still feel like I have no idea what is going on. The good news is that I have started recording my tasting notes so I will know what type of wine I like next time we go. (hopefully after I find a job).

Ciao,
Joe A.

Then there comes the day your wife puts you on a wine budget. Damn!

Joe P. get off your bum and get this guy to the store. He has a cellar to build and only a few weeks to surprise his wife. Just imagine the tears of joy and snd surprise when she sees all those old Riojas and Barolos in Joe A.'s cellar. Then she gets the word that Joe and Amy are coming over for dinner....
