WTN: Montecillo Rioja Reserva 2000

Lovely nose: floral, spicy, chocolate and vanilla.

Lighter bodied than I had been expecting (based on the rich and full nose), cherry fruit, spicy, smooth and polished. Leather and earth on the finish.

Went quite well with our Christmas turkey.

Bruce I see the 1998 Montecillo reserva, and the 98 Grand Reserva locally. Not sure what the price for the reserva is, (around $18) and the GR is $23.
