Very dark olive/amber. Viscous, very rich. Raisins, prunes, marmalade, Chinese hawthorn, dates, figs and Christmas pudding. Amazing complexity. Very sweet and luscious but also searing acidity to balance it. The fruit seems a bit dried out and lacking in freshness but that's a minor quibble. Very concentrated; even a little sip stays in the mouth a very long time, even after drinking water. Probably close to immortal. 21 years old and opened to celebrate the 21st birthday of my daughter.
Three be the things I shall never attain:
Envy, content, and sufficient champagne.
