Where will you be? West coast, Rocky Mountains, East coast, Middle west, South, Texas???
Suggestions sort of depend on where....

What John said. Also, what is your price range? What is your bench standard for pinot noir? And, are you looking to take some home, or just drink while here?

Two of my favorites: Saintsbury and Shug, both from the Carneros area of California.

Echo Paul. Although Saintsbury and Schug are from two distinctly different areas of Carneros, and from two different styles. But both are good.

I don't buy a lot of quality US Pinot, but I do like Jim Clendenen's Au Bon Climat Pinots from Santa Barbara and environs, which are pretty atypical for that region. Domaine Serene's Oregon Pinots are also favorites, again, chosen from a relatively small sample.

I like the Domaine Serene Evenstad Pinot Noir. Some of my favorites are mainly available by mailing list such as Ceritas or Littorai. You might look for Ken Wright Pinots from Oregon although they seem to drink better with a few years on them. I'm also partial to some of the Sonoma Coastal Pinots such as Failla, Hirsch (expensive) and Peay.

You don't seem to have posted much here.

I would start by searching the archives here (or on any other wine boards you may frequent, or on google in general) to see what fits your stylistic preferences.

American Pinot Noirs come in so many different styles that it's impossible to offer recommendations without some foreknowledge of stylistic preference.

That was one of the reds we had on each table at our wedding reception (along with Ch. Gloria, which aside from being an excellent value at the time, was also a bit of an inside joke between me and my wife). Everyone loved that Pinot, even those (*cough*mywife'strailertrashrelations*cough*) who professed beforehand to not liking any reds at all.

I'm also a big fan of Norton Ridge Pinot, particularly for the price point (although I know I caught a little heat for saying that here previously  )

I would concentrate on Oregon which has become sort of Pinot Central USA.
