Summer sipper Chardonnay.

Bob drinking Chardonnay? Well this Coriole from Adelaide Hills hit the spot, usually cellar door sale and mailing list only but one Alberta rep picked some up a while back. Coriole has a large portfolio including a very good Sangiovese, Fiano and a Lloyds Reserve Shiraz which is much acclaimed.

TN: 2009 "The Old Barn" Chardonnay, Adelaide Hills McLaren Vale Aust.

Cellared 2 yrs, SC, $25 Cdn, 13% alc, 4 months old French oak.

Medium lemon in color the first day, muted white stone fruits and apple on opening with some citrus. Hint of nuttyness on day 2. Juicy acidity, medium length, quite approachable, I did not serve too chilled. "Some orange zest" from across the table. Went well with some pot stickers on the patio down the road!
