2004 Domaine Truchot-Martin Morey St. Denis 1er Cru Les Blanchards - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis 1er Cru (7/13/2014)
My last bottle of 2004 Blanchards, and a curious, yet tasty showing. Lots of sweet, red fruit, as if it was a newly released wine. That fruit overlaid a forest floor and earthy element that showed full development. The wine remained bifurcated, new versus old, through the entire bottle, but was always light on its feet and very aromatic. A delicious but strange experience.
