Just saw this in the Chron:
SFChron:ManressaBurns

Never had a chance/opportunity to eat there but its reputation is stellar. Hope they can eventually reopen.

Terrible, we had a great meal there years ago. Hopefully Kinch and team can reopen soon. Glad no one hurt

I had the pleasure of eating there once. Excellent. I hope they can re-open.

Ooooh, sad. It's #1 on my list of restaurants to go to next time I'm in the SF area.

Perhaps the only silver lining here is that Love Apple Farms now has a bunch of surplus produce, previously meant for Chef Kinch, that is now available to the public:

I was planning on going to Manresa this summer, but my disappointment is nothing to what David and crew must be feeling right now. There's a picture of them salvaging service items: http://instagram.com/p/qM6DhOqPwa/

Sigh.

I swung by Manresa this Sunday to see how things were going along.

As you can see, there's no roof over the kitchen. It looks like David and the rest of us are in for a longer wait than I first thought. Double sigh.

Sad. Hopefully just more extensive work than first estimated, though that's not good, rather than insurance company balking or otherwise shortage of funds.
