CellarTracker question

I just moved all my 2000 Bordeauxs from one part of my cellar to another and would like to update my inventory to that effect. Not that I have that many, perhaps 20 or so line items but multiple bottles of each. But what a pain to pull them up/edit them one at a time. Is there way to handle this as a group?

I think bulk edit only works for multiple bottles of the same wine.

You can key in 2000 Bordeaux and it will give you a list of the twenty or so bottles. Then you probably still have to hit the back button after each entry to update location of the bottles but don't have to key in the appelation and chateau name from scratch. You can also e-mail CellarTracker for help to see if there is a shortcut. I contacted the technical support recently when trying to enter a Sancerre rose' wine that didn't have rose' in the heading. You can email a question at support@cellartracker.com.

Try this

Reports/Individual Bottles/Relocate

that's using classic CT

Exactly what I was doing when I thought, man, Eric would have thought of this--has to be a better way!

It's pretty easy, at least in new Cellartracker. Search in "My Cellar" for 2000 Bordeaux. Then switch from "Show: Wines" to "Show: Individual Bottles". If you check the box in the header, all the bottles will be selected. You will probably want to narrow the results to Region Bordeaux. Then click the red "Relocate" button and select the new Location and Bin. Much easier than moving each bottle.

Dear Jenise,
It was the least I could do. Glad it worked.
