Sounds an awful lot like Nyquil! Is the wine-geek world ready for this?

AUSSIES LAUNCH PET WINE BOTTLE WITH BUILT-IN CUP

Australian based Hardy Wine has launched a single-serve plastics wine bottle that is sealed with a twist-off plastics cup.

Dubbed the ‘Shuttle', the bottle is aimed at the large public events market where there is a high demand for fast service and unbreakable containers.

Some of the development challenges included work on the seal to prevent leaks and oxidisation, and changes to the production line. Hardy Wine says research work on selecting an additive for the PET means that it has been able to extended the shelf life of the product to 12 months.

The Shuttle will initially be used for shiraz and chardonnay and be produced in 187ml size.

What? So I'm guessing this is some really good wine, then?

I like the concept. It would be great for trips and camping. Though it does look like it produces a lot of waste.
