Airplane note, so not in any way definitive, but this was a nice estate Riesling. It did not have the precision of say a Donnhoff estate, but showed tropical fruit without being heavy. Clean finish.
Easily the best on offer for the flight, outpacing a NZ SB that tasted like it had been fermented inside a green bell pepper, a Zweigelt that was clean but generic, and a decidedly bad Haut Medoc that was all thick black fruit and lifeless. Only glass I finished was the Riesling.
Oh, the 2008 Taylor Fladgate LBV in the airport lounge-corked.
