WTN: Eagles Trace

I opened the 2005 Eagles Trace Cabernet from Gus Anderson's winery in Napa he started after the Conn Valley winery. With BBQ ribs it was excellent with lots of cassis and eucalyptus notes on the nose and palate. Color was dark purple with bricking at the edge. Maybe not quite at peak but just a couple of years away and with a nice long slowly declining aging curve of 6-8 more years. Nice wine and glad I have more.

Thanks for posting. I have some of the '06 as well as the '05. I've been drinking the '06 thinking the '05 could last longer and your post would appear to agree with that strategy.

I thought this was a bourbon thread.
