2012 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (5/7/2014)
This Selbach-Oster is yet Another lovely example of the 2012 vintage. Firm acidity, plenty of ripe fruit and moderate sweetness make this feel like Spätlese in a more classical mold than many other wines I have had in recent years.

It is well worth noting that on night two this opened up so much that it was a different, significantly better wine. It maintained the backbone, but had great depth and breadth of flavor. Still shows as a more classical spatlese than most of what you see these days. Great wine and great value.
