This wine was enjoyed with a host of other wines at lunch today at a local Thai restaurant. In a tough crowd, this one managed to finish at the top of the heap for me.

If you have any in the cellar, lucky you. There is no rush to open this one soon -- it has a lot of life. The wine is singing right now, with lush fruit and acids in perfect harmony. All of the nuances are there; it is a perfect example of what German Riesling is all about. Wow!

I love these JJ Prum Wehlener Sonnenuhr auslese goldcaps! I started collecting them seriously with the 1995 vintage, but I do have a 1993 "regular" auslese bottling. Any thoughts on its readiness to delight? Thanks, Jim Vandegriff

If you have more than one, I'd pop one now, Jim. It may be peaked for your preferences.
