Georges Descombes Morgon 2011
This isn't the VV but the basic. But it is fantastic even without those extra letters. It has a cherry scented nose slightly reminiscent of the Foillard CdP '11 that everyone seems to love but this one isn't so rich and ripe. It is only 12%, tastes dry after the abundant fruitiness of the Foillard and has plenty of grip and is a leaner style of Morgon. Pleasantly light and really one of the most satisfying wines I have recently had. Lovely wine.

But this isn't a producer that is very familiar to me so is there any point in opening his Vieilles Vignes from 2010 and 2011 yet? Or should I bury them deep in the cellar?
