1998 Trimbach Riesling Vendange Tardive
From the first moment the cork emerged from the bottle it was obviously shot. The aroma permeated the room. I did pour a drop, and after 4 washings I could not clean the glass, so I threw it out. 2 hours+ later the sink still reeks of TCA. The kitchen garbage, where I tossed the cork, reeks of TCA. This was supremely vile. EVIL!!!!

2005 Daniel Bocquenet Nuits St. Georges Aux St. Julien
An early peek in on a village 2005, and it's rewarding. Still a tremendous amount of tannin, but plenty of fruit and earth depth to handle it. Clearly too soon, but not so forbidding as to dissaude me from opening other 2005 village wines.

2001 Château Coutet
Wow is this ever delicious. It's loaded with spice, fruit & vanilla cream, with great palate presence and fantastic length. It's a fantastic drinking experience now, but there's also more than a little upside for the patient.
