Winning at the Roulette table!

WTN: 2007 Lammershoek Roulette Red, Swartland SA.

Good natural cork, 14.5% alc, $25 Cdn, unfined and unfiltered, granite terroir.
48% Syrah, 25% Carignan, 20% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, 2% Viognier.

Nice elegant blend here, focus was spot on, cellared 2 yrs or so which was a good move I think.
Deep purple, not much sign of age on the rim. Quite smooth with some tannins in back ground. Medium bodied, cherry, cocoa, hint of pepper, earthy. Did not think viognier added much here, some better ripe fruit on day 2.
