WTN: Siduri PinotNoir StaRitaHills '11..(short/boring)

by TomHill » Mon Oct 07, 2013 11:51 am

Tried last night w/ dinner:
1. Siduri PinotNoir Sta.RitaHills (14.1%; www.Siduri.com) SantaRosa 2011: Med.dark color; strong black cherry/boysenberry/PN quite spicy/rosemary & thyme some peppery/cold-climate classic Siduri oak/pencilly/toasty very attractive nose; fairly tart strong black cherry/boysenberry/PN classic Siduuri oak/pencilly bit lean/taut flavor w/ some hard/lean tannins; long rather tart/lean strong black cherry/boysenberry/PN very spicy/thyme classic Siduri pencilly/oak finish w/ some bitey/hard tannins; needs a few yrs yet; speaks strongly of StaRitaHills and shows classic Siduri oak; quite a nice Pinot for a very good price. $26.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. My summer-hold Siduri/Novy shipment arrived last week, so thought I'd crack one and I was in the mood for a Pinot. I think Adam's Appellation-series Pinots represent some of the best Pinot values around. They almost always speak strongly of their AVA. And his Pinots have a classic Siduri signature oak that's quite recognizable, at least when young.

That is a QPR worth seeking.
