Local winebar has the `09 Bodegas y Vinedos del Jalon Claraval Calatayud on the list so popped in after camera club meeting.

Dark garnet color, blackberry, smoke, tobacco, cherry on the nose.
Nice plum flavors with cherry typical pepper, some tannins, medium bodied. Some sweetness with assorted tapas, raspberry too. No heat here, did not check alc. Nice glass, in fact 2!!

Sounds good for you, although I must admit this is one holiday I won't be celebrating. I can't remember the last time I drank a grenache.
