1999 Nicolas Potel Volnay 1er Cru Pitures - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru (8/8/2013)
Flat, fruitless and boring. There was nothing here to grab onto. No sense in drinking more than about half a glass. An hour+ of air did no good.
2011 Jean Foillard Morgon Cuvée Corcelette - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Morgon (8/8/2013)
Bright (!!), fresh fruit and a deep earthiness. It's more than a little tight, but there's plenty of depth, so it encourages patience. Very nice if not the most open Gamay.
