Gee the facial expressions tell more about the wines that anything else.
What about this descriptor for the Caro, "urinal at a carnival", lots of bad face expressions - yet the wine still get 87 points and the next wine (Sequoia) gets 87 as well. Can't understand this point system at all.

Notice how he smiles on the last one and omits to spit it out - the 16.9% alcohol one. Yeh, he's seduced by that one.

And he's just going to have to get used to sweat in Marlborough sauv blanc.

Can anyone tell me/explain why it takes so long to download the video? Thanks.

Does one have to sign in somewhere?

Sue,

I have had the '05 Spy Valley SB. Though I thought is was tasty for the price I was stunned to learn that it had been given a 90+ score by the WS. In my opinion the Kim Crawford is a better example of NZ SB and I don't think it got a 90 point rating, though it may not have been rated yet.

Bob, there's no need to sign in, but videos are very large. Are you using dial-up or high-speed access to reach the Internet?

Also, although I'm no expert here, if you don't have your video set up to show "streaming" video - i.e., the vid starts before it's fully downloaded - then you may have to wait a very long time for the download to complete before the show begins.

Unfortunately, I don't know enough about video to give you detailed instructions, especially without knowing your setup. Maybe one of the techies will jump in and help ... I hope! :)

Bob,
I'm pretty sure it is due to the temp. :P
Seriously,
I had the same problem (I'm on a quick broadband connection FWIW) and finally hit on the YAHOO link under the "Having Trouble..." Section. Then it downloaded like a charm.

Kim Crawford is great SB. I think you'll find the 2006's very tasty too. I'm not surprised the SV 2005 has a lower score, but still don't know what's the difference between an 86 and a 87, or an 87 and an 87, or why 90 is seemingly so-so-soooooo much better.
Cheers,
Sue
