2010 Finca Villacreces, Pruno

This is one of the best $20 red wines I’ve had in several years. Very purple in color with huge nose of wood, raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries, licorice, cassis and vanilla. On the palate more berry fruit, coffee, licorice and spice. Really good. Could probably benefit from cellaring.

I've always thought at least for the American market, Pruno is an unfortunate choice of name for a wine
