Mid-year wine resolutions...

I'd love to find some Bordeaux that excites my taste buds (and gums) :)

I want to give Burgundy another chance.

I'd like to explore some of the California Zinfandels that are out there.

I will try to add more tasting notes, with pictures, in the future.

I want to do a better job of pairing wines with food.

Buy less than a case of wine over the course of June/July/August.

Buy no wine, except one case from the 3 lists that I am on a max of twice a year, until my cellar is reduced 25%.

Find a bunch of impressive recipes that require at least a bottle of wine in order to speed the process.

Twelve bottles in three months is a rounding error. :)

Start paring down my purchases to no more than five bottles a month to shrink my oversized collection (I just purchased nine bottles Saturday in Raleigh and six bottles Thursday in Fayetteville.)

Jeff B, I suggest that you try some Joseph Swan Zinfandel--you may have to buy directly from the winery if they ship to your state.
