Still hooked on Languedoc!

I have been cutting back on my wine drinking these past couple of months with various bird watching activities taking preference but decided to go with a recent Languedoc purchase after promptings from my in-house PO!

WTN: 2010 La Grange de Quatre Sous Cuvee Garsinde, Vins de Pays d` Oc.

Hildegard Horat-Diop owner, Swiss, organic, St Chinian area. Lot 0511, 14.5% alc, blend of Malbec, Syrah, Cab Sauv.

Medium depth in centre, light purple on rim. Interesting nose of plum, blackcurrant, fresh, peppery. Held up well over 3 days.
Initial entry is dry with some firm tannins. Earthy peppery and very good acidity. Bit young still perhaps but expressive of the region for sure. Blueberry, licorice..."think cab is overpowered at this stage" from across the table. Black fruits dominate on day 2 and not much evolution. Decent buy from a visit to Calgary last year.

And PO doing a nice job here too, Bob :D Sounds a good one. The presence of Cab may make it slower getting to its peak.

I've enjoyed this producer...but I like "rustic" wines, so... Cool notes!
