WTN: 2010 Greywacke Sauv Blanc

by Jenise » Sun May 19, 2013 2:50 pm

If I have the story right, this 2010 Greywacke is the work of the guy who made the first 25 years or so of Cloudy Bay's Sauvignon Blanc. And if that's wrong, no matter what the story this is a very fine example of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. It's the typical NZ basket of citrus, leaning toward white grapefruit, with exceptionally balanced grassy notes and nervy minerality. One of the classiest NZ Sauv Blancs I've had in some time: $18 locally, and worth it.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
