Reserve de la Comtesse is/was a superb 2nd wine from Pichon Lalande. When I tried it several years ago, the earthy blackcurrants and spice were superb. I cursed myself for not leaving my bottles alone to age properly, drinking up all but two. Now I'm patting myself on the back -- we opened a bottle yesterday and the brett was overwhelming (and I'm a big fan of funky Rhones). The bottle was sacrificed to the drain gods.
